Eradicate Chemicals

Everyday we encounter hundreds of manmade chemicals. Every year thousands more are created to better our lives. Yet America, one of the premiere civilized nations, is one with the most ill people in many categories. Nearly everything we consume has chemicals not intended for our bodies but in small quantities our government allows it, production companies deny the harmfulness. And the common person is ignorant or follows suit allowing or denying it is a problem.
These chemicals come in our food and medicine, and anything you buy in a package (even at a health food store) has chemicals in it! We slather them all over our largest organ our skin and then they are absorbed directly into our bloodstream. They are under the sink, in the laundry room and in the workplace. They are in our clothing, carpeting, and our furniture. They are very harmful no matter the quantity because they build up to toxic levels in our bodies.

Why Are They Bad?

Chemicals do very bad and strange things to our bodies. We were created not to absorb chemicals at the rate we do. Most of us probably have organs that are supersaturated and unable to cleanse themselves naturally and we think we are eating and living healthfully. Did you ever see a drug or medicine without side effects? Almost every cosmetic item has warnings. Cleaners and cleansers all have explicit warnings for eye and skin contact as well as swallowing harm.
Ive heard it said, If God didnt create it, dont eat it. That should really include your skin and what you breathe as well. Some chemicals lodge in fatty tissue and build up to toxic levels until we are weak and sick. Some chemicals go straight to particular organs causing them to overwork themselves and become weak or destroyed. Other chemicals go through our bloodstream right into our building blocks and change the information in those cells creating disease.

How Do We Remove Them?

Start in the home. If Home is where the heart is, lets keep our heart healthy by removing chemicals. First, there are chemicals in your food. Denatured (against nature) foods such as white sugar, store bought flours, and anything processed or pre-packaged is a harmful chemical. So learn to fix things from scratch. Box mixes arent scratch. We grind all of our own flour from organic grains with an attachment for our Champion Juicer. Then we soak or ferment it to release phytic acid so we get all the nutrition it comes with naturally. We dont add bleach an extremely deadly chemical also in daily drinking water from the city water supply. We dont add man-made chemical vitamins that our bodies cant absorb. We only grind what we need so any vital nutrition isnt lost within 72 hours of grinding. How long was that bleached, enriched flour on the shelf in the factory, warehouse, store shelf, etc. before you bought it? Buy organic its not more expensive, its more filling so you eat less.
Second, medicine and vitamins, especially any prescriptions, contain dangerous chemicals. Every medicine mimics things found in nature. Aspartame is a man made chemical version of an herbal sweetener Stevia. The man-made version causes us to eat more some diet aide and its a major neuro-toxin. Most store bought vitamins are a waste of your money. Besides being chemical versions of the real thing and full of fillers and flavors and preservatives, most people cannot metabolize them. They come right our in the end. Since our government doesnt regulate many vitamins or other non-traditional meds, buy the best: Shaklee, Standard Process, Isotonix, etc. But, if you drastically change your diet to whole foods, the correct way, you wont need vitamins or prescriptions unless you are very weak or old and need to help your body get well enough to live your life to the fullest. Most prescriptions only suppress a natural function in your body so it can mask symptoms. They do not cure anything they help you manage symptoms.
Third, there are chemicals in your cleaners all of them harmful, most deadly. There are all kinds of household remedies with baking soda, vinegar, citrus fruits, etc. Healthfood stores have much of this pre-made and packaged for you but READ the LABEL! I trust it only if it says 100% vegetarian. There are several direct sales companies with green products, but read the label. Remember that biodegradable doesnt mean safe to absorb into your body.
Forth, as far as fabrics go, these are a lot more difficult and expensive. NEVER dry-clean clothes the chemicals are deadly. Wash anything you buy before you wear it. There are over 150 possible chemicals in fabric including: dyes, flame retardants, pesticides, glues, bleach, etc. Try to wear natural fabrics: cotton, rayon, wool, bamboo, etc. Polyester is plastic. Why wear plastic wrap on your body? Be careful buying furniture and carpet a lot of them have formaldehyde in heavy concentration they wont air out.

How to Read Labels

This is crazy and really takes a little bit of education. Since there are probably thousands of plants and their derivatives there is a flip book of scientific to common names. As for skin care and cosmetics, if the claim natural ingredients or organic they need to claim the percentage. If it doesnt say `00% vegetarian then it has chemicals unless its a goat milk product. As for food, look for organic on the label. If you buy sugar buy it raw not just organic. Raw is not refined, but the organic may be and usually is very refined. As for anything else dont be fooled by the word biodegradable. It only means that in normal use, it will not become toxic in the water supply before it breaks down into an earth friendly substance. Look for chemical free, 100% vegetarian, organic, non-toxic. So biodegradable isnt always harmless. If you are trying to be Green for the environment, look for less packaging, natural packaging, recyclable packaging in that order. Concentrates are usually a better deal because you use a lot less. If it isnt close to nature or its natural form, it isnt green or good for the earth.
